You can usually see and feel quality but if you want to know just how much more quality it is then go by the Momme number, it is the method by which the quality of silk is graded.
Typically most bedding and pillowcases are made from 19 Momme, the higher the number the thicker and more durable the material is. Only Silk Pillowcase use 22 Momme for all their products.
When satin is mentioned, the term will generally refer to satin that is woven from a man-made fabric – usually polyester. Polyester is made from oil polymers, and its chemical structure is actually very similar to plastic.
Meaning you will be laying you head on something that could make you uncomfortable warm Silk on the other hand is a natural fabric that with keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
Our Mulberry silk is very smooth, which means it has less friction than cotton or cheaper silk. Friction can cause hair nightmares like split ends and frizz. If this is reduced, then your hair will soon feel the benefits. After sleeping on a silk pillowcase you will soon enjoy having smoother, shinier hair.

Yes....we recommend using a non-biological detergent that does not contain optical brighteners, bleaching agents or enzymes. These may damage the fabric and cause it to pill (bobble). Note that some brands of non-biological detergents may contain optical brighteners. We recommend ecover . Avoid stain removal products.
Wash at 30° or cool setting and dry flat out of direct sun light.

This is the third silk pillowcase I have purchased and it is as lovely as the others. I always handwash them and they are very quick drying.
I have been buying these from this company for many years now and have quite a collection. None of them has worn out or faded. They r the best I have found. I love that they zip closed. I’ve always loved the feel of your silk pillow-cases. They maintain their high quality for years despite regular washing. I’m amazed how smooth and beautiful they remain after each use.
