What Causes Static Hair?
Static hair arises from the transfer of electrons from your hair strand to another object, resulting in your hair becoming positively charged.
This means that the charged hair is attracted to negatively charged particles and repels positively charged ones.
Following the rule that says “opposites attract and like repel”, this causes your hair to stand up and annoyingly stick to things.
Also, you should be clear on the fact that “frizz’’ and "static" hair are very different things. Static hair takes the appearance of individual strands lifting away from the head and standing in different positions, seeming like flyaways, and can be difficult to manage.
Frizz, on the other hand, is caused by a lack of moisture in the hair or humidity in the environment. Frizzy hair appears to be unruly, and puffy-looking, with the curls not defined.
